A lot of people will tell you they can write great text, or design a fancy logo, or get you 50,000 followers on social media. But it’s a good idea to check if they have the experience and portfolio to back that up. Otherwise, even if they aren’t charging much, you still might be wasting your money. Or even worse – it might do some damage to your company or brand.

NORTHSTAR BATTERY
NorthStar manufactures and delivers batteries and power solutions to the world, with offices in six countries servicing clients such as Ericson and Huawei. For seven years, Reuben was the heart of NorthStar’s marketing and communications team, promoting their premium lead-acid batteries and telecom site solutions on a global scale. This included copywriting for the corporate website, social media channels and sales material; global PR campaign management; smartphone app development; event management; website design and administration; graphic design; as well as video and audio production.

DIGIBOB
Digibob creates evocative video content. We worked together with them to redesign their website using bold colours, captivating videos and strong imagery. We put together a marketing strategy to find their ideal audience and what sets them apart from the competition. Based on that strategy we wrote all of the content for the new website, with a focus on search engine optimisation. We created a social media content calendar, which they used to improve their Facebook marketing, and also set up a LinkedIn account for them so they could reach a new audience. They also got our help with their blog and subscriber newsletter.

MICROSOFT
Microsoft is well-known as a global technology leader. In her role as Communications Manager for productivity and CSR at Microsoft Sweden, Rebecka was responsible for communications on sustainability, equality, education, health, security, innovation, environment, diversity, and other CSR initiatives. She was also responsible for communicating Microsoft’s productivity solutions, such as Microsoft Office, and managing related projects, such as the official Home Office Day.

TIMELESS STONE
Timelss Stone supplies beautiful natural stone paving and tiles. We helped them totally redo their website, with a fresh, modern design that matches the high quality of the products they sell. We also helped them with social media marketing advice, and print media ad design, to help the company grow to meet its full potential.

UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND AND MEDTECH CORE
Reuben has been working with the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) – a world-renown research centre focused on enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of a range of medical conditions. Reuben has spearheaded their marketing efforts, driving their social media, print design, website management, event management, video production, recruitment, and community engagement. He is also working with the MedTech CoRE, which is hosted by ABI, to foster collaborations between New Zealand universities, researchers and clinicians.

JUNCTION MAGAZINE

DARKROOM
Darkroom is an innovative design studio that specialises in extraordinary event visuals, working with some of the most well-known artists and brands around the world. We wrote them a new marketing strategy, rewrote their website content to improve search engine optimisation, plus wrote and distributed newsletters to their mailing list. We set up an Instagram account for them, created a social media content calendar, and ran their Facebook and Instagram accounts for a month before handing them over. We started with a basic redesign of their old website, and now we are working on a whole new website design for them.

MATAKANA COAST TOURISM
The Matakana Coast is a region of raw beauty, breath-taking experiences and local hospitality that stretches from Puhoi to Pakiri, which MCT works to promote. We assembled a new marketing strategy for this tourism organisation and used that as a basis to revive their Facebook and Instagram channels. We designed a content calendar to plan out engaging content, and ran both accounts for three months to great success.
